QUESTION: What has been the most effective deterrent to ICE abductions from our communities this far?
ANSWER: Community volunteers monitoring for ICE and human trafficking activity and taking peaceful, legal action to document such activities.
While local police and sheriffs have been either passive or playing chaperone to ICE and other Federal Agencies activity and attacking peaceful community-safety activists with tear-gas, horses, rubber bullets, and even police vehicles, the people must rely upon their unity to keep students safe, because no one else on the public payroll is helping protect them properly.
The masked goons working for a variety of Federal Agencies cover their faces because they know they are breaking the law. They are taking these fascist jobs for the short-term benefit of their taxpayer-funded paychecks but they know they risk the potential to be held accountable for their illegal violence when they are caught on video kidnapping innocent people without a signed judicial warrant. We have the legal right to document their activity and record it and that’s what community safety activists are doing in increasing numbers.
We work with other like-minded community safety groups in Southern CA, such as the Community Self Defense Coalition, LA, to bolster efforts to unite our neighborhoods and school districts around the need for community-based safety efforts. We strive to work with school administrators, educators and parents to keep our students safe and to plug the massive gaps in community safety that corrupt and inept city governments are failing to address.
Aside from Stephen Miller, Donald Trump, corporate human trafficking profiteers and the worst of the white supremacists, who doesn’t want to keep students safe from kidnapping? Racists wishing to harm children simply because of the color of their skin are in the minority. If the rest of us unite against the violence, we can defeat the ambitions of the extremists seeking to divide our families and endanger loved ones.
Join Community Safety Efforts in any way that you can.
Stand With Students has confidence that as more parents step up in the volunteer effort to build community safety, we will be able to fend off the horrific attacks on our families and help our students to focus on getting the education they deserve free from the fear created by ICE terror.
